As part of their STEM curriculum, MLK 6th graders have been exploring drones and aviation-related careers. In coordination with the Utica City School District’s CTE department, students recently visited SkyDome at the Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome, NY. They learned firsthand about Oneida County's significant investment in drone technology and testing, all happening right in our own community!
MLK is grateful for our partnership with the UCSD’s CTE department, The Griffiss Institute, SkyDome and Oneida County. Together, we are helping our students become college and career-ready. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a world-class facility nearby and are thrilled to inspire our students through these hands-on STEM experiences.
